MVP not connecting...need help

Setup: Computer-->5 port switch-->5 port switch-->MediaMVP

I have checked the end connection that would connect to the MVP and I get a fast internet signal. When I plug it into the MVP, it displays "connecting to server" then goes blank.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for any help.

I am not sure here, but don't you need some kind of router to give the MVP a DHCP address? Or do you have a DHCP server somewhere on the network that you're not mentioning?
