Nice job on the Rss Reader.

A few suggestions to make it even better.

Bigger text box – I had to turn up the text size in the articles text (not just the headings) so I can see it on the tv. Currently this box is about ½ the screen size. I don't see a need to see either of the new selection windows while reading the text of the article so would it be possible to increase the box size, say to most of the screen.

Scrollable text box – on some sites I go to I don't think that even the biggest box will fit on the screen so it would be nice to be able to move up/down in the article. Currently the up/down keys move you to the next/prev article. Maybe the Chanel up/down buttons could be use.

Pop Up “Pending” box – On a slightly more annoying note. Currently life as we know it with IR remotes is a problem. It some time misses keys. That's not too much of a problem I just press it again. Trouble is there is a couple of places in RssReader were it took the key but there is a LONG pause before anything on the screen happens. Can we get a pop up box that says “Pending” or “Fetching” or anything for that matter when the RssReader is doing two things.
  1. It's going to fetch the .rss file from a web site. If the site is down there is a LONG pause.
  2. When you press the Pause button on the remote and it loads a graphic of the site. There is always a pause but it's even longer if the site has troubles.

Anyway, Those are my suggestions, Let me know what you think.

Is there a way to send a message directly to the person that works on the RssReader?

I wrote the original

there was a user named henkh who enhanced it.

Then he stopped development of it. I have added the web viewer to it.

So either henkh or myself are the people whom work on the rssreader.

Hi Jorm.

Ok, where you able to take a look at the suggestions at the start of this thread? Any thoughts?

Does the capability exist or how easy would it be to add the ability to save enclosures; audio (podcasting), video (videocasting) or any other file type to a directory for viewing/playing along with the feed item?

Thanxs,
