Really? Let me try that then. I guess I never see CDK's part in things. I'll take it out how and see what happens.

Do I need to do anything to use it, or is it just doing it's thing as part of Xrecord? I have a batch file I do now that runs purge after restarting GB, to clean out any dupes that would take place before the next EPG. When does CDK do it's maintainence?

Thx for the help w/ this part, btw.

Also, does that mean rectracker doesn't need to do anything anymore, or it still performing it's part in the process recording the files?

If you use the Scheduler portion of XRecord, you are using CDK Scheduler. If you use the duplicate checking when scheduling the programs in XRecords Scheduler option, that will tell PriorityRecordings.exe (part of PostUpdateEPG.bat) how to handle duplicates. PriorityRecordings.exe is the scheduler portion of CDK Scheduler.

You won't need the -Purge option of rectracker if you use the Duplicate checking feature when setting up your programs with the Scheduler. When PriorityRecordings.exe runs, it will handle duplicates at that time when it schedules (i.e. either scheduling or not scheduling based on the settings for the particular show it is trying to schedule).

CDK Scheduler will not remove any shows that have already been scheduled, it only tries to not scheduled or record duplicates when it schedules them. You might need to run the -Purge option of rectracker one time, but after that CDK Scheduler should take care of the rest.

I also use RecTracker but do not use the -Purge option at all, and the duplicate scheduling logic works fine and I don't get any duplicates where I don't want them.

I got it set up and purge off...we'll see how that goes. Thx for helping w/ that.

So that boils down some possible reqs to:
1) I still think a "skip this recording/get next airing" would help. In a world where a show will be on later the same night or in the next day or two, it would have uses I think.
2) The ability to convert a scheduled to a manual recording (just remove title)
3) Maybe seeing deleted like watched (if you want to allow something deleted to reschedule again

These are more ideas than anything else, since you can do most in a roundabout way if you know what you're doing.
