Quote:I only watch shows via MVP, and except for one or twice a week, I will watch a show from the old card. I have recently noticed when watching a show from the old card via GBPVR and MVP, a message about subtitles shows up in the top right. I think after hitting the blue button to check progress. Is this GBPVR drtecting the CC stream?
GB-PVR doesnt do anything with CC information at this stage. Its not even detecting it.

Quote:And I assume if it is, it is still not viewable on the MVP withoutsome transcoding and having them overlayed.
Thats correct.

That is the odd thing. I was playing the video on the MVP from GBPVR, and it showed up on the screen about the subtitles. Only on the mpegs from the old card. I'll try and get the exact message tonight

sub Wrote:For the programmers here that may be interested, I switch from using DOM parsing to SAX parsing. I've known since the very first day I added zap2it support that this change would make a significant difference.

DOM parsing loads the whole XML response into memory and allows me to dynamically access any part of it as I extract channel and programme information. DOM is much easier to programme for.

SAX parsing effectively goes from the beginning of the XML, to the end of the XML, in one pass, only ever giving me access to the one current data node. Using this method, I'm effectively building up a list of partial 'Programme' record that get more and more complete the further I get through the XML, and are hopefully complete by the time I get to the end of the file. SAX is much harder to program for, but much more efficient.
Thanks for the brief explanation. I will have to read up on that though, since I really don't get it much at all. My programming is effectively limited to basic, and early VB. (most of the apps I made for myself were done in VB 2.0)

Anyway you slice it, it is a significant improvement.

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRParser.ax"
regsvr32 "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRParser.ax"

then try again.

Hi!

I am new here, and looking to download this awesome piece of software. I have heard lots of good stuff, and am anxious to try it out. I am in the process of building my first PVR and need a frontend.

I have read this thread and understand that the downloads have been disabled due to some known bugs, but is there any place where I can download the latest stable build? Normally, there is a beta or dev build that may be a little buggy, but then there is a stable build that may not contain all the latest features but is known to be stable. I have googled around to try to find alternative download locations without success.

If there are no mirrors, is there an ETA when the downloads will be back online? If they are offline indefinitely I may need to go in search of another frontend.

Thanks!

You can get the last public release (from about two months ago) from http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVR09413.msi
