Lookup GBPVR installation directory from outside a plugin

I'm writing a program (not a plugin) that needs to know the installation directory of GBPVR.

The PluginHelperFactory.getPluginHelper() method returns null, I assume this is because it is normally passed from GBPVR on plugin activation?

Any thoughts?

There is a registry setting you can read from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz
