Manual Recording Option/Time Suggestion

Id like to see a manual record option that instead of time you can just choose a specific amount of time and it begins recording right away.I would like this option due to i would like to convert some vhs tapes that i own.Or i would like to see time where its not military...kinda annoying to me.

that's a good idea.

But as a workaround, you can set the start time to 10mins in the past and appropriate end time (inc. +10mins) and it will then start recording virtually immediately. I have done over a dozen tapes this way.
