Switching the LiveTV recording into background mode

It's a good feature to start recording when you are watching.
And I think the next step don't breake the logic: put the record in background
- you can switch to watching some video and return to just recorded session later.

can you not do this already when youve more than one tuner?

Bring up mini-guide, select record on the show youre watching

This sets it off recording as if you'd scheduled it to record.

then if you have another tuner available, you're free to go to another channel or watch a previously recorded show.

the program you started recording half-way through will be available to watch as usual from the library/video, except you'll only have it from the point at which you set it recording.

Exactly! But LiveTV recording has complete show and I'm talking namely about to keep going this recording but switch it into "real recording" mode.
