i am currently trying to skin xrecord for olbia. i know, a few things are hardcoded, but maybe someone knows how to solve following problems (look at the numbers in the attached image):

  1. How can i move the whole list, wether icon mode or not, to the right?
  2. How can i increase the gap between two elements (row-gap works)?
  3. what does that box mean and where can i change the color?

then i probably found a bug: as you can see, there are 3 columns and 2 rows in the list. the maximum number of displayed elements is 6. when moving to the seventh element, the list doesn't scroll. you just cannot see the selection. the item-counter says 7/7.

i would really like to provide xrecord-support in the skin, since there are a couple of users, using this plugin and i know it is a good one. please help!

thanks...

I'll see if I can figure out the other questions, but as for

3. It refers to the current recording status, and thus has its colour set by the "StatusPending", "StatusRecording", "StatusAvailable" and "StatusError" named colours.

cheers,

As far as I know the answer to number 1 is you can't move it.
This was why I gave up reskinning this plugin for the collection.

David

I think you change it in the following bit of code in the language section although its a while since I did it and cannot remember exactly

<DefaultDisplay value="1"/> <!-- 1 title, 2 channel, 3 day of week, 4 period -->
<Advanced active="true" rows="2" columns="4" box="true" startGap="65" rowGap="90"/>
<List startGap="10" rowGap="30"/>
<Stats xpos="350" ypos="400"/>

<Image height="90" width="70" textbox="60"/>
<!-- <Image height="82" width="63" textbox="80"/>-->
<ButtonsToShow value="7"/>

you are right about the bug in the code you must choose 4 columns or it gets very confused when navigating around the recordings

I have attached a pic from when I skinned it for myself for countourhc although this misses out some of the things like the usage bar you mentioned

I can upload the skin.xml for it if you want

Amazing!

And I thought I had asked the plugin's creator...

On closer inspection, did you move the grid?

actually the bottom is not hard coded, it is in the background-composite image as you can see from my first post. i simply cannot move the whole grid to the right and it would be helpful if someone who has managed it could post the skin.xml-part which is responsible.

i will take a look at some other skins though.

@tipstir: if you want to change the "[Lock] [Mode]....." thing just have a look at the background-composite-image.

thank you all for the replies!

i looked at other skins and they all have the same x-position. it's no problem though, because they use 720x480. but i use 800x600. i think, the grid's x-position is hardcoded.

and here's the next problem: how can i change x AND y of this list? seems to be hardcoded too.... (please, plugin-developer, help me Wink)

yes, it is pending.

the items 1/27 continued can be changed with following line:

<Stats xpos="600" ypos="440"/>

well, when i'm doing something wrong, i would like to know, what! i coulnd't find anything to move the elements to the right. i need to do this and i too need to change the position of the detail-elements but i cannot find anything in the skin-file.
