I am having the same issue with my Hauppage IR Blaster and DirectTV STB. All I did to set up my remote was click on the Hauppage remote 45 button in the GBPVR config.

Can I adjust the delay the same way by sending the hipsend commands?

ricklous Wrote:by default HIPsend will seperate its commandss with a 500ms gap. you can change this by opening up the command prompt and navigating to where your copy of hipsend is stored and then setting a new speed.

SO using your example of channel 206 above:

at the command prompt, if you type 'HIPSend 206' then you should see the behaviour that you described above (channel 20, then 6) as you havnt changed the gap between the IR commands. this is basicly what GBPVR does when it sends a request for a new channel.

If you now type 'hipsend 206 400' it'll do the same thing but shorten the gaps between the gap between the signals being sent from 500ms to 400ms. if this is quick enough for your STB then it should change to 206, if not then try again using 'hipsend 206 300' which will shorten the gap down to 300ms.

Keep doing this till your box switches to channel 206, then close your command prompt. Once Hipsend has been set to the right speed, it will remember the speed and keep using it so you shouldnt have to do anything else other than go to GBPVR and try to change to a channel and see what happens.

I noticed that lower numbers work, for example, channel 111 works fine. When i try higher numbers or zeroes, it will pause for too long, causing my problem. I tried your suggestion but it didn't seem to do anything.

sorry im not sure what else to suggest....with my setup it was the timings that were the issue but they either worked or didnt where timing was concerned.

The only issues with specific numbers that i had was the length of the taught code that HIP caught. i found that if hip caught a code, say, 70 charactres long, then it would work in testing but was flakey in practice when i was throwing multiple numbers at the STB, and i had to reteach the number and hold the button slightly longer so HIP caught a longer version of the code, say 140, instead. approaching 200 character length would start giving me problems again. Maybe you need to do some experimentation to see if *all* your taught codes are in this sweet spot?
