I just wiped my comp and forgot to export the recordings date , of all my anime titles/desc's and stuff... i was wondering if anyone had them for (cartoon network) and would mind giving me the last few weeks of them. I could match them up myself...by looking at them.

If the recordings are on a NTFS drive you should be able to extract the info from the metadata that is saved with each file. Sub added this a while back, do a search on metadata.

If the recordings are on a NTFS drive, and haven't been moved. The data might still be there. Search on recovering metadata on the forum.

Quote from Sub
"BTW, if you're using the NTFS filesystem, metadata about the recording is now saved into the recording as an 'Alternate Data Stream' on the video file. To view the metadata, you can type "notepad c:\path\recording.mpg:metadata.xml"."

plus check this out.

go to a command prompt,
type
notepad c:\path\recording.mpg:metadata.xml

change the drive letter/path/filename to match.
it should open up notepad with the data, if you have moved the file, edit the path in the notepad window and save it as whatever.xml
once you get a xml file with the data, you can then import it in the config.exe plugins tab.

I just did this on my pc

notepad e:\recordings\24\Day 1- 10-00PM - 11-00PM.mpg:metadata.xml

and got this. Notice that my file names are chagned to the episode name. I get this with the renamerecordings util.

<recording>
<filename>E:\Recordings\24\24_20060305_20002100.mpg</filename>
<channel>15 WNPA</channel>
<status>READY</status>
<startTime>2006-03-05 20:00:00</startTime>
<endTime>2006-03-05 21:00:00</endTime>
<title>24</title>
<subtitle>Day 1: 10:00PM - 11:00PM</subtitle>
<description>The Drazens use Kimberly to make Jack do their bidding; the mole within the Counter Terrorist Unit is unmasked.</description>
<uid>EP4466040024</uid>
</recording>
