I have a friend that is asking for my advice.
He wants to have a 3 Tv's and 1 Projector, 4 Satellite receivers (Direct TV) Be able to watch movies from DVD and save them to the Harddrive. Record and time shift as needed. Plus watch live TV from any of the 3 TV of Projector.
This is what I was planing, tell me if I am way off. 4 PVR-150 with IR Blasters to the satellite boxes, 3 MVP's. Hook up the computer to the projector and MVP to the 3 TV's
I know nothing about projectors he has not bought it yet but has one picked out. What to I need to run one? Us a TV out card or directly plug into the Video out?
Windows XP Home
P4 2.6GHz - 768MB Ram 980GB 4 - HDD's
3 MVP
1 PVR-150
1 PVR-250

You should be able to use the VGA out or even better the DVI out from the graphics card to the projector.

Just remember to take appropriate action to make sure that the separate pvr-150 blasters don't change channels on all the set top boxes at the same time Wink
I'm not always right
