ffmpeg gives me errors about non-monotone timestamps but seems to fix them..Smile
and i noticed the new avi conversion part...
also,i know ffmpeg can be piped..i wonder if you could pipe the output directly into dvdauthor? Big Grin
[save another step/filespace]
just a thought...would really knock off some processing..i'll see what i can come up with...
working like a charm with the ffmpeg version...can we do other things while processing?
[like the transcode button dialogs]
glad it does the trick...liking burning ability...Smile

first it converts
then it creates the menus (just incase it cant generate chapter thumbs from original video)
then it creates the dvd file structure (dvdauthor)
then it burns.

on my system it takes about
skips the convert (does it nightly)
1 min for the menus
5 mins for dvdauthor
4-20 mins for the burn (depending on dvd+r or dvd+rw)

so all up i can have a full dvd in about 10 mins, im happy with that.

that's cool...i might start doing same thing..[converting at night]
i've kinda figured out the adding the menus...so i'm gonna make this doable from the transcode menu on the fly...Smile [will also be able to convert avi/wmv/etc. ]
goin the simple route, don't need fancy menus and such,or i'd use a real dvd burner proggy.. just wanted a way to quickly spit out a disc when wanting to take a movie over to a friend's Smile
just thought i would offer a little time saving option, but i can see why it doesn't really fit in with your creation structure..the .xml method does offer much more customization..
man,i hate it when the forums are down! lol Smile
