I dunno. I checked everything I could think to check as far as power management goes, and don't see anywhere where I have it configured to shut the card off. I'm running wireless cards on a win98 box and a win2k box. Both have the same problem. My wireless signal is pretty shoddy too, so I may be losing connection and then it has a problem reconnecting. I wish I knew, but my little script is keeping the connections alive now.

When I had this problem I was overlooking the obvious.

My wireless connection went down every time the wife was on the phone or put something in the microwave.

Changing the channel on the phone did the trick. But the Microwave is still an issue. I just have to keep the laptop out of the kitchen.

I've seemingly tried everything I can think of. I do have 2.2ghz(??) phones, but I tried with them unplugged and got the same results. We do have some energy conserving florescent bulbs, turned them off, same results. The microwave does run, but the router is far from the kitchen.

I did notice that my 'noise level' seemed high compared to the signal I saw coming from my neighbors' wireless signals while using netstumbler. You are probably right that I am having interference due to some other device, but the problem is trying to figure out what's causing the disturbance.
