Multi Tuner buffering...

Hello.

I have a quick question/request...

At one time I had a DirectTV with Tivo. It was a Sony T-60 (Dual Tuner). I LOVED it. One of the great features it had was that it would buffer both tuners at the same time. It would allow you to switch back and forth between the tuners (Down Arrow) while retaining the buffer for each. You could switch from tuner 1 to tuner 2, then rewind. You could almost watch two shows at once...

Is this possible? What would be involved in doing something like this? Big nasty coding? Is this for future development, or not even being considered at this time?

Thanks....

Its been requested before, but sorry I wont be implementing this. Its just too much of a pain in the arse to implement for little gain, and doesnt lend itself well to setups using external set top boxes (like my setup).

Oh well. I had to ask. And while I wish it could be done, I understand.
It's all about the Grief to Reward factor.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

As I posted in your other thread, just have both tuners recording, not just watching live TV. You can then switch at will.
You can never have enough tuners!

Nope. Some of the pics may be generated by that program, but I didn't make them.
