I'm guessing either you've got a firewall getting in the way of communication between GBPVR.exe and GBPVRRecordingService.exe, or somehow you've managed to start two copies of the recording service.

Strange is that i can launch gbpvr only once ! Every restart does not work... The only reveleant change is my antivirus : nod32... and i'm only using XP firewall (gbpvr.exe and gbpvrreccordingservice.exe are both included in the exception list)
"Netstat -a" command does not show any strange stuff running in background.

What are the usuals ports those two app' are using ?

I dont know if that is the cause, but it might be worth looking for another antivirus option. I know for sure NOD32 will crash the recording service regularly in next release of GB-PVR (due in a few days). NOD32 is confirmed to be incompatible with .NET 2.0 Remoting, which is used by lots of apps including GB-PVR.

This same problem is known to exist in Net Limiter and Panda Antivirus.

I've seen posts from several months ago that indicated the authors of NOD32 and NetLimiter are aware of the issues, but they havnt supplied a fix as of now.

The release announcement for the next GB-PVR will tell people they cannot use these apps.
