In the config.xml file, I have changed the value for element "HorizontalZoom" from the default of 1.05 (?) to 1.0 to correct the TV display. Prior to this change, the sides of the display were cut off a bit.

Changing "HorizontalZoom" to 1.0 corrected this problem perfectly. However, the value is changing back to 1.05 at times, and I cannot determine what function is doing it.

Is there a reason for this, or has anyone else noticed it?

I am using the "contourHC" skin and aside from the stock functions I have only the weather plug-in active.

Any thoughts?
Thanks.

This setting no affect on the MVP. Infact, I have found no way control over this on the MVP.

This setting was only used in pre v0.96 versions, but only when viewing on the PC monitor with VMR renderer.

That's truly odd! What then explains the behavior I have experienced?

I know for a fact that when the image is zoomed, if I reset this value to 1.0 and cold-boot the MVP (power out), the image is not zoomed. I can tell the difference because the station logos are in a different position.

Thanks.

It's some bug somewhere in the Hauppauge software that physically runs on the MVP. It pops up from time to time. Its nothing to do with that setting though. Just cold booting fixes it.
