ZapTools Update

For information:

After I installed the new release of Zaptools, I was getting the same errors as before in Xrecord as shown previously in this thread.

Once again, I re-installed Xrecord and the errors went away and its all working again.

Is ZapTools still working? I belive the problem would be that ZapTools was updated to the newest SQLite Driver while Xrecord was not....reinstalling Xrecord would fix that but would probably break ZapTools.....

You are correct, things are not working.

I took a look at the zapinterface.dll and zapimport.exe files and they were both dated from last year so when XRecord installs it puts in old files over the new ones.

I put in the new files manually from zaptools and now I get errors. I checked my zapaccount and I'm still active so thats not a problem.

Here's my log file which just stops at downloading.

It is the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll file......it isn't able to find it....it should be in the same directory as zapimport and zapinterface....it is in the zip file for ZapTools......

Also....the newer version is now using SqLite so you can either convert your existing Access DB over or start with a new blank SQLite db....also included in the zip file. this info is on the wiki.

P.S. Grab this free utility (hoversnap) by Hoverdesk for making screen shots....it will make a nice small file for sceen shots....you can do full screen or just select a specific area of screen to capture.

The dll file that is in there is "System.Data.SQLite.dll".

I did run the convert application previously and I thought I did it per the wiki. Should I try running it again?

I got the hoversnap file and will try that for my next screen capture.

Hold on a minute - I just was looking back at the wiki and do see that dll in the source zip file. I haven't ever downloaded any source zips before. Do I need to? Do I need any of the other files in the source zip file?

Also, I don't run enhanced web admin. Do I have to? Is this where these source files get installed from?

Just a little embarassing.... :o You are correct....with the last update I droped the dll from the zip file....it has been added in. Here is the direect link. If you don't see the dll...clear your browser cache or use a different browser....sometimes the browsers hold the previous version for some reason.

Let me know how you make out.

Zaptools is working now for the built-in GB-PVR recordings but its still not working for Xrecord using SQLite.

I'm assuming its another issue with Xrecord that needs to be fixed.

Other issues in Xrecord that don't work with SQLite are rename recordings and the CDK scheduler. Jorm, we need you to fix us up.:confused:

Version 0.46d of XRecord now on the wiki finally comes with a Zap Tools that supports sqlite (zapdb.db3 instead of zapdb.mdb).
