Jorm, I PM'ed you my e-mail a few days ago. I haven't seen any e-mail's or updated posts to this thread. I'm thinking about upgrading my GBPVR this weekend so it might be a moot point but if you have the new version I would love to take a look at it.

Thanks.
GBPVR Server:
AMD Sempron 3300+, 1gb DDR, 100, 200 & 500gb HDDs, DVD -/+RW PVR150 RETAIL, PVR150MCE.

I am wondering if there would be a way to turn this plugin into a 'recorder' plugin? Maybe provide some hooks for the 'ExternalRecorder'?

I'd like to be able to schedule a recording, and if there were no local tuners available, a request would be made to another GBPVR installation to see if it could schedule on that system. If the recording completes, it might be nice to move a copy to the current system and add it to the database. Also allow it to optionally delete the show off the recording box.

I have a few tuner cards that are appearantly incompatible with the cards in my main box. If I could load them onto a second box on my LAN and have it do the recording duties, that would work wonders. I wouldn't have to do all the networking gyrations I have seen posted to share a gbpvr database and file system recording directory.

This could become the 'recording farm' that some envision.

Good call. I have another box with a software card that I use if my other cards are busy. It's a manual process, but it would be cool if it were in a farm.

I also got the sqllite dependency thing. I'm going to try to (gulp!) upgrade to sqllite and see if I can get xshare working (assuming that gbpvr is working after the switch )

Okay, I upgraded to sqllite and am able to get xshare to connect to the xshare server. One minor note - in the howto.txt, you say to run it:

xserver -server

I think you meant "xshare -server"

Also, when you are running remote desktop to the client box, and you try to type in your username, after the second character the client crashes and the dos box refers to "invalid username". To get around it, I just pasted the username and password into the client.

Once in, I selected an already recorded show, and clicked the download button, but it didn't download - of course this is running the server and client on the same box. Do I need to be on separate boxes? I figured it would download it to the c:\temp folder anyway but it didn't.
