Internet detection problems

I haven't upgraded to the latest so don't know if this was done already or not.
Anyway, my internet provider recently had problems, thus I lost my connection for a day, in any case, my GBPVR also quit, I couldn't connect using my MVP nor on my PVR machine. I thought it was due to MVP servers but after a reinstall, it still would not work, until I decided to disable all plugins, then it started again. After some fumbling, I figured it was the plugins which need the internet that was holding back the initialization of program. I temporarily moved the .dlls and all was back to normal.

Plugins that caused me problems during internet interruption were:
Weather
Stock Ticker
VA Panel
Video Archive
News Feeds

Is there a way to just skip internet detection if it fails probably 3x or so.

Did you dowload all the plugins when you were reinstalling gbpvr, that could give problems because alot/all off them would have been adjusted for the latest gbpvr version.

The plugins I was using was for the ver 96.12. It was working before and after the internet interruption. I know it has something to do with the internet connection since I configured my router to block internet connection after 10pm (to limit my child's use of the internet) and my PVR stops working after 10pm and restores back when internet is restored. The only way is to make GBPVR work again is to remove plugin dlls mentioned above and everything is ok again.

I guess it's the change to .Net 2.0 that does this. It needs the connection for several plugins. You could try to find a different way to block your kid's internet. I'm not sure what happens if you let him use his own login on the computer.
