I've had my PVR system up and running for awhile, but was using it was a VGA to S-Video external adapter box. The output was a little "soft" and just not to my taste.
I recently updated to an ATI Radeon X300SE with S-Video out. The quality improvment is outstanding.
The only problem I have is very choppy video (Live TV with fast action) when I use VMR9 (either one) with GB-PVR. If I use VMR7, the output looks just fine.
Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? I'm using the latest Catalyst 6.5 drivers. There are quite a few options with the ATI software I didn't have before, perhaps there is a setting I'm just not aware of.
