Would someone be able to suggest where I could get started on accessing GB-PVR's new database using sqllite and vb6?

I have been able to get in MS Access before, but for my latest project I'll just concentrate on SQLlite as sub says, 97.xx is the last version to have access access...

Thanks in advance

Personally.....I would move to vb.net or preferably C#.net (you get an insight into Java learning c#) and work with the SQLite ADO.Net provider that is included with GBPVR and is available here.

If you don't have an IDE that provides .Net coding download the free SharpDevelop IDE that provdes C# and VB.Net development with debuging....it is a nice alternative if you can not get your hands on a Visual Studio 2005 setup.....

Yes. I agree, going to .net should be a priority.

I've coded with VB6 for years, then had a hiatus. For my latest project, it was just natural to start using vb6 again. It's not like it's so antique that it will crap out your system...

Anyway, MS is giving away the VB.net for free. I will be upgrading to that soon...

But until then, about sqlite?

http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/

SQLite Database Browser is a freeware, public domain, open source visual tool used to create, design and edit database files compatible with SQLite. It is meant to be used for users and developers that want to create databases, edit and search data using a familiar spreadsheet-like interface, without the need to learn complicated SQL commands. Controls and wizards are available for users to:

Create and compact database files
Create, define, modify and delete tables
Create, define and delete indexes
Browse, edit, add and delete records
Search records
Import and export records as text
Import and export tables from/to CSV files
Import and export databases from/to SQL dump files
Issue SQL queries and inspect the results
Examine a log of all SQL commands issued by the application
Best Regards
