radeon X1600pro agp codecs needed

I know with my hardware setup I should be able to playback hd shows m that are mpeg or dvr-ms encoded without much problems, I mean the x1600pro should be able to even take most of the work off the cpu, where can I get the appropriate codecs to use so my graphics card can do most of the work, I'm really frustrated about this issue, I dunno much about mpeg/dvr-ms playback codecs and I am wondering if someone knows where to go tofind the codec that will work with this card properly so the cpu stops cranking so much. this card should have enough HP to hardware playback anything short of H264 1080i that codec kills cpu cycles I know. But for everything else I should not have a problem but I do

Don't the Cyberlink and Intervideo DVD players have the decoders you need? My GeForce 6200 plays back HD content just fine. Only thing I had to do was increase the AGP memory aperature.

Install all the software that came with the card. Especially any dvd player/burner programs.
