Record button for composite inputs?

How about a record button to start recording from composite input or SVideo input on my tv card.
This would help if I wanted to transfer viedo from a VCR.
At the moment recording is always tied to the tv guide or setting start and stop times.
Maybe there is already an easy way to do this?

GB-PVR isnt really the best tool for this sort of task, but you can do the following if you really need to.

You can set up additional capture sources for the composite and svideo inputs. Set the EPG to 'none', and manually create an appropriately named channel, 'SVIDEO' or 'COMPOSITE'. These will then show up in the channel list when watching live tv or scheduling manual recordings.
