For the simular Lumanate Angel USB PVR I use sucessfully the following:

I must admit I was confused by pins i2s and 656. I thought the I2S (Inter-IC Sound) was a serial bus design for digital audio and CCIR-656 Encoder or the bt.626 was used for video. These configs seem to have them backwards (any comment?.)

As I think about it they may be the other way (backwards in) my system.

Interestingly, I also found it easier to undersand filters with the pins they belong to together.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think you're correct.

These configs seem to have them backwards (any comment?.)

GB-PVR has no knowledge of the purpose of these specific pins. It just knows it needs to connect them. If you switch the names of both pairs it should still work just fine.

The definitions written by me for the PVR150/500 etc use fairly generic names:

PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=I2S
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=656
PIN_ENCODER_I2S_IN=I2S
PIN_ENCODER_656_IN=656

Some of the other definitions in direct.ini (supplied by others) have got the audio/video arround the wrong way, but it doesnt matter as long as they're connected. Some of them have them the right way around.
