Hi all. After my fun success with GBPVR I talked a friend into building a PVR box as well. We got it all set up and running but sadly we can't get GBPVR to change channels on his digital cable box. He's got Comcast Digital Cable with a Motorla DCT2224/1662 set top box and a P4 system with a Hauppauge PVR150. The IR Blaster will not work at all, so I tried the serial port with Mot_Changer.exe and we got no response from the box.
Comcast insists the serial port is enabled and when I pressed them about why it won't work the girl got all stuttery and kept repeating herself.
Has anyone had any success with this STB? Is it easier to just go to comcast and demand a newer box?
