IR Blaster and Viewsat

Has anyone gotten a Viewsat Platinum working with the Hauppauge remote? If so can you tell me if the code is 146 and if the sensor is to the right of the numbers? The receiver is not turning off when I use the IR Blaster setup and it isn't changing the channels. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If Viewsat is supported by Hauppauge and it does not work, it may be that your IR blaster is dead. Just because it blinks, does not mean it is working. They had some defective ones. Call or e-mail them and they will send you a new one. They are very low powered so it must be exactly over the IR receiver. Play with the placement, even put the blaster directly on top of the sensor if you can get to it for testing.

I got it to work. You have to take apart the IR blaster. You will just the the little red blinking dot. Put that to the left of the number. You have to put in the right spot. The code is 0146. It is just that the blaster is weak. Again it is between the green number and the DVB logo...hope that helps....
