Upscaling DVDs?

I understand that with certain settings in FFdshow its possible to upscale dvds. I'm curious if anyone here has been able to do that and use those settings with in gbpvr. If anyone has information that could help me out , please help me out

I found a tutorial that walks through ffdshow upscaling at http://www.htpcdigest.com/miscellaneous/...orial.html I don't have an HDTV, so I can't say what the results are like, but the tutorial looks really detailed. Hope it helps!
