Add 'Episode Name' To File?

I just now noticed that one of the "details" you can see for a file in Windows XP when you use "explorer" to view a folder is 'Episode Name'.

How do you add that info to a file? Do you use ntfs alternate data stream? Can it be added to mpg files?

I noticed that "explorer" will show dimensions of avi files, but not mpg. Can that be done?

that "episode name" comes from the same place as your mp3 tags do. I dont think anyone has written a tool to add data to the id3 tag, so you may be out of luck there. However, if you want to put that info into the actual filename, try this utility.

Thanks, I already use that. I was wondering if there were a way to add that info to mpg files, so that windows explorer would show it, the way it will show id3 info for mp3 files.
