im trying to use a AxWMPLib.AxWindowsMediaPlayer in a form, and my form only has that control and everything else is drawn in the main form.

but whenever the AxWMPLib.AxWindowsMediaPlayer is visible, all keyevents are processed through that control and my form onkeydown never gets them.

im just wondering if anyone knows a way around this? (sub, since gbpvr uses this Smile)

bugger....

is gbpvr just painting to the form, or to another control in the form?

Its just an empty form which sometimes has the Windows Media Player control on it.

sub i wonder if you can do me a favour, can you just create a basic form, add the axwindowplayer to that form and then override the onkeydown of that form and see if you can receive any events, or if wmp is getting htem.

this is driving me nuts.

well i finally sorted out the problem, i had media player 11 installed on my development machine and that wasnt allowing any of the keys to get passed to my form. downgrading to wmp10 and works a lot better, though it still pauses etc when {ctrl}p is pushed.
