blank system screen

I recently fixed the "timestamp" bug on my PVR150 and ever since then my system screen shows up blank. When I click on "System" it takes me to the same screen it always has, however instead of listing the version number and free space there is just a big black nothingness. Anyone had this problem?

have you messed with your skins at all?

i havgen't ever changed a skin. I tried to upload my logs just now but it keeps saying "invalid file"

The easiest thing to do is ZIP them.

I'm fairly sure I know what the problem is. A small handful of people have had this problem ever since the System screen was introduced. The logs will probably list an .NET error about Windows Measurement Instrumentation (WMI) not being available on your machine.

I'm not sure what you have to do to fix this, but if you google on the exact error message, I'm sure you'll find some Microsoft registry setting somewhere for re-enabling this on your machine.

I saw a few threads about blank system screens. This appears to be the most recent. I can turn the described behavior on and off.

If I select direct access to Hauppauge remote in config, the system screen is blank. If not, the system screen appears.

I recently reinstalled windows and used the most recent Hauppauge software from their website. Before, I believe I was using the driver from the PVR 250 CD that came in the box. When the wife's done watching TV, I'll try the older driver.

sub, we really need a way to hot-swap drivers & play around with the config (plugins, skins, etc...) while the better part is watching tv... it's slowly getting a nuisance... could you add this to the wishlist & would you make it available with the 01.04.2007 release?

Using the PVR250 driver from the CD, rather than the newest driver from the Hauppauge website, fixed this problem for me.
