Treat audio recordings like video?

I have pointed the Music Library to a collection of MP3 podcasts. However, the playback behavior of the Music Library is not what I would like. Since these are long recordings, I would prefer the behavior we have in the Video Library. That is, for my audio recordings I would like to be able to

• See my current position in the recording
  
• Jump forward and back in the audio
  
• Be prompted to resume the audio recording from where I left off
  
• Be able to delete a recording (these are podcasts)
  

This doesn't seem to be possible with the standard Music Library. The plugins I looked at don't seem to do this either. Any suggestions?

Sorry, there is no functionality that does this.

Is it technically possible to write a plugin to do this, or are the underlying capabilities not available?

No, you couldnt write a plugin which adds this. I currently dont provide any functionality to skip with in a music file. It is possible to get the playback duration, and current position (except on an MVP).
