This is part of config.xml.....

<CustomFFmpegConversions>
<Conversion name="Add for DVD Burning" exe="burndvd.bat" cmd=" add {SOURCE_FILE} " targetExtension=".burn.mpg" />
<Conversion name="Burn DVD" exe="burndvd.bat" cmd=" " targetExtension=".avi" />
<Conversion name="Delete file from dvd burn list" exe="burndvd.bat" cmd=" remove {SOURCE_FILE} " targetExtension=".avi" />
<Conversion name="Delete all from dvd burnlist" exe="burndvd.bat" cmd=" deleteall {SOURCE_FILE} " targetExtension=".delist.dvd" />
<Conversion name="Say the size of this file." exe="burndvd.bat" cmd=" filesize {SOURCE_FILE} " targetExtension=".size.mpg" />

I notice in a previous posting an entry referring to mencod, but that isn't in my config and I can't find mencod,exe anywhere. Is that something that I've missed?

no, that's part of an old version so not used anymore..
sounds like something worng with batch file processing..not much i can do about that...try running it command line method..[burndvd.bat add "filename.mpg"]
might see what's causing it...[and have something more of an error message..]
use same file for input...also may be the 'voiced' options..are you running win2k?

voices only work on XP...

if it's giving you an error for voices..just go into batch file and 'rem' out any line with "say.exe" in it and things will work fine...Smile
[like: rem %showbdir%\say.exe "the current file size is....etc.]
and let me know if that was it so i can figure out a workaround for those that don't have it...
you also may have a broken speech subsystem, go into control panel/speech and try to change the voice, you should hear it talk to you..if not, probably an error with that part of windows..use 'rem' instrustions above and SB should work again..

Thanks for the suggestions....it is on W2K. Also, I recently realised that the PC isn't recognising DVD correctly...Doh!

I use the Enhanced TV Guide which puts the rating of the show in the title (for movies). My movies are named as follows:

Jerry Maguire (1996) {R} [3.5]_20060923_21300030.mpg

When I run 'Burndvd.bat' from the command line, I get an error that indicates that the '{R}' is not acceptable. If I use it on a file without the {} it works fine.

Is there a log file I can review to see what exactly has happened during the attempt at a burn?

hmm, no real log...but i know why that would choke it...can you change the brackets used? {} not good...[] () ok..[pretty sure]
i'll see if i can figure out what's choking on them but i doubt i can change it..

specially if that's in the filename itself..

i tried fixing it but still having problems...try to find out if the brackets can be changed within the guide output...would really be easier as no other shows have ever used {} so far, so may choke other apps too...
Smile
let me know cuz all 3 brackets is a bit much, if could use one of the others instead would be great..

I did get voices working on win2k. Download the speech sdk v 5.1 and install it. It's on the MS site.
Edit the batch file and remove the rem before each of the say commands and it should work fine.
