Will gbpvr support the PVR2 USB?

Any plans to support the freeview cards & USB devices such as :-

Nova-t PCI
Nova-t USB

GBPVR might support the PVR2 USB if the drivers are the same as the PCI version. I dont PVR2, so I dont know for sure. I'd like to support it.

If you can find a command line recorder for the Nova-t cards, I could probably produce a wrapper driver in the same way I have for WinTVCap. Otherwise, its difficult for me develop support for these kinds of devices since I dont have access to them.

There is an interesting open source video streaming project at VideoLan.

I wonder if there is anything to be gleened from the source code from that project.

Also Gabest "AVI Splitter" filter which will allow other applications to read 'locked' files.

The source code may be available.

b.t.w. I found this link on the Zoom Player Configuring your system for Media Playback website, if this gives any more clues.

There is a thread on Nick Goldman's DEC forum that discusses invoking the DEC 2000 s/w by command line in
http://www.nickgoldman.com/decforum/viewtopic.php?t=87
could this supply the necessary 'hook' for you to write a 'wrapper'?

I've recently bought the Hauppauge Dec 2000-t. I use the GBPVR software to capture the EPG listings and play my music files and I love it!

I see someone asked early last year about developing the software for this hardware. I wondered if this was still being considered. I'd be keen to use it!

Many thanks,

I currently have a DEC 2000T on my old PVR and I use the command line option to control it from the task scheduler with a rather complicated CMD file which I've attached it. The DVBAlias.CSV file contains a list of possible channel alias's, eg BBC2 and BBC TWO. It can be edited using notepad or a spreadsheet.

At the moment this device will not function with GB-PVR.

If Hauppauge release BDA drivers for it in the future, then it'll be supported, but I suspect this is unlikely. Sorry.
