Hi!
is it possible to use the tool "Tv-Browser" (http://www.tvbrowser.org/) as source for the built in EPG?
I like that tool, because it has lots of additional program information. it would be great if it was possible to integrate it into GB-PVR

best regards
Stefan

Sorry, but unless someone writes some 'tvbrowser to xmltv converter' then it is unlikely that this will ever be an EPG source in GB-PVR.

It seems that the tvtoday plugin for xmltv is not supported any longer and the "prisma" provider has not yet been inluded in the windows binary. So without any XMLTVData in Germany I came to use tvbrowser as an easy-to-use epg.

I even thought about a tvbrowser2xmltv converter and it should not be too difficult to develop but the tvbrowser licence seems not to allow to use its data in other applications as its developers agreed such limitation with the data providers.

Futhermore tvbrowser does come with plugins to control other applications (e.g. WinTV2k, WinTVCap(GUI)) for recording. All it needs is an interface (e.g. .Net, HTTP etc.) from the GBPVR Recording Service to trigger a recording from external applications.

Would it be possible to have a limited external interface e.g.
ManRecID = AddManualRecording(ChannelName, DateTimeStart, DateTimeEnd, Quality, RecorType, TitlePrefix)
and
Error = DeleteManualRecording(ManRecID)
?

Such simple interface would be nice for http remote access on low bandwith connections (e.g. from your mobile) to trigger recordings remotely.

APIs already exist to add and delete recordings. These use the IScheduleHelper interface. You can see it in use in the web admin source code included with the GB-PVR release.
