Oz,

Would you be able and willing to add the Dual Tuner Primer info to the WIKI as a new section?

I'd do it myself but am busy at the mo' with a new job. Will update the primer from time to time.

I have had this card for some time now using it in MCE. I had GBPVr installed on the same system in a duel boot mode (previously using 250 card) so I tried the recommedned direct.ini modifications . The card is working for the most part but I have the following problem.

On the lower channels I have no color and on some channels no sound . At first I thought this might be the cable connection, but when I boot to MCe using the same connection everything is fine. Channel two CBS has no color or sound however when I first start GBPVr and select live tv set to channel two there is momentarty flash of color and the just balck and white. Channel 5 FOX will not tune. Most upper channels (20 and above)work fine.
I have re-installed GBPVr re-installed the drivers but always comes up the same.

Any advise on a possible remedy would be appreciated.

There are no GB-PVR settings that would effect this. All I could have suggested was trying a different version of the drivers (which is responsible for this type of stuff).

Thanks for the reply . I don't believe there is an other version of the driver. I think the only version is 1.31 . I have done addtional testing and get puzzeling resluts. For instance I have viewed channel 2 which start out in back and white and then changed channels and come back to channel 2 and get color. So from an uneduciated view point it seems like a tuning problem assuming that such things a color are part of the tuning process. Another point is channel seven starts out with no color but after switching channels and going back to channel 7 I get color. Generally when I get color i get sound. Seems bizzar. Again in MCE everything works ok. I would prefer to use GbPVR. I have PM'ed fatawan who started this thread to see if he has any suggestions. Thanks for the help

So, the new Hauppage 500 chips blow. I'm thinking of changing HTPC2 over to this. Is the picture quality pretty good?

The Picture quality is Good. Unfortunately its not working for me as you can see from the above post. The card is deigned for MCe and under MCE you have software that you can use to adjust the setting. I don't believe any other program makes that software available.
