There are several DLL files in the Web\Bin directory that are installed by GBPVR itself.

You may have problems running this on a separate machine away from GBPVR itself. I

f you are going to install GBPVR on your web machine and hold all your recordings and stuff there you should be ok.....but if you have GBPVR running one place (pulling in your EPG and recording your programmes) then you will have difficulty getting this to work.

EWA is truly a plugin that utilizes (very, very heavily) the GPVR API. The GBPVR API uses all the configuration info and EPG info that GBPVR uses and maintains.....the API just exposes it for other applications to use.

So if you have GBPVR running on one machine and EWA on another EWA would call the GBPVR API on the web machine and since GBPVR is not configured to run there would be no data to bring back.

You could try to install GBPVR on the web server in client mode and point it to your GBPVR recording machine.......theoretically if GBPVR runs in client mode from the web server then I would think that the API would provide you the info from the host machine....

You would definitely be testing something out......I have not yet heard of anyone attempting this.....could be interesting.... Big Grin

and there i was thinking it was going to be something simple - DOH
hmmmm what to do - i dont think my webserver will handle running gbpvr - so i might have to settle with having it setup on a different port - thanks for the info im sure it might be useful in the future for others that might have looked into doing this.
