Hi there!
This is a 100% hack.... Well I modified the inf file from XP x64 to recognise my IR bean bag.
Ok, what I did was take the standard IRBus.inf and IRBus.sys from my Windows XP x64 CD and modify it to automattically install the driver based on the PNP ID of USB\vid_0609&PID_031d this is the PNP ID of the standard (SMK based) Microsoft OEM USB beanbag.
to install:
goto - device manager - right click on unknown device (this needs to be your 'Ehome Infrared Receiver') and click update driver and click on 'install from a specific location' then point XP to your folder with the drivers included in this package. Click install anyway if it comes up with a driver warning. then it should be installed as long as your PNP ID is the same as my one! :-)
Now XP x64 then installed the driver with no issues, but I still cant seem to get it to work. Maybe its my software or someone could point me in the direction of any software that will allow me to monitor any IO to or from device driver that would be great! ;-) Or maybe I have an error between the keyboard and the chair?
So if someone else could try this driver and see if they have any more luck??? I have tried the drivers from Vista x64 with no luck (driver wont load at all!)
So email me if you have luck on: andy.denley@gmail.com
to download go to: http://www.caroshel.co.nz/irbus_x64_test.zip
