newbie: Random

I am using the MediaMVP with ML2. I have been creating playlist by selecting whole albums, adding them to the playlist and then pushing the red button to randomize the newly selected tracks. However, if I already have music playing, the playlist and music restarts with the new random order.

Is there a way to add albums to the playlist, randomize the playlist, but maintain the current selected track.

not currently, and not sure if I'd add that functionality - since that track woul dhave to become number one and then randomise everything else

The way iTunes does it is by picking tracks randomly from a playlist. Therefore, instead of having to randomize the playlist, the track selection is randomized.

Yeah, that has actually been asked for, but is something that the main guy (sub) would have to implement.

The play order is not something I actually have any control over so all I can do is shuffle the playlist. Sorry.
