My experience with installs like that (XP Lite) is that functionality is reduced so much that many apps don't run. Then you spend a lot of time figuring out what it is that you're missing. I know that author claims that everything else will run except MS Office, but I have a hard time believing that. I'm open to anything though; perhaps you should test it out for us Smile

Sub,

Is it possible to increase GDI+ drawing speeds? I found the following links:
http://www.codeproject.com/vcpp/gdiplus/...sspeed.asp
http://www.dotnet247.com/247reference/ms...70407.aspx

Of course, these may be outdated or irrelevant. Smile I'm also not a programmer so I don't know how hard they would be to implement.

Also, are there any dll's in GB-PVR that I could remove if I'm not using certain functions? I've stripped the plugins folder clean.

Hello,

I am currently testing tiny XP Vista look edition on an old slot A 750mhz Athlon with 512mb ram & a Gforce2 mx 400 32mb graphics card.
Running at 720x480 resolution & using the purevideo decoder.
This is a playback only machine.

I can watch DVD's at a steady %40 cpu usage & I'm able to watch most SD xvid files at around %20 cpu.
I'm using Overlay.
Afraid to try VMR just yet. Smile

I do get some stuttering when the on-screen display pops up.
I expect it to be worse with VMR.

Enabling ffdshow post processing does give a better xvid picture & only raises cpu slightly.

With DVD's though cpu is around %85 to %90. So off goes FFDSHOW post processing.

Is there a way to just use ffdshow post processing on XVID content?
