UbiStream, convert DVD to MPEG

A MVP user here,

Keep wanting to convert my DVDs to mpeg to play on the MVP.

Current plug in requires DVDdecrypt,

BUT

strikes me that as VLC can play any video I chuck at it, and UbiStream streams out an MPEG stream of a DVD, we should be able to save the resulting MPEG stream to disk,

QED,

convert any dvd that VLC can play into MPEG,

any thoughts on can / will / should we do this ?

BTW: have a happy Xmas, off to stuff my face now.
