Have I understood it correctly?

The (main?) difference between DVB-S and DVB-S2 is that S2 allows MPEG2 and MPEG4 HD streams, whereas S only allows MPEG2 SD streams?

Are there any DVB-S2 tuners (dual?) that is supported in GBPVR?

They mostly seem to be using it they way you say, but they may also end up using MPEG2 on DVB-S2, and MPEG4 on DVB-S. There is no reason why not.

The HVR4000 might do DVB-S2 with GB-PVR, but I doubt you'd have much doing any MPEG4 related. Still early days for this, and I put very little time into it.
