Dish Network 6.0 Remote

Hey guys, I have a Dish Network 6.0 remote control that I can't get to work right. The remote is a multi-function remote that can control a TV, VCR, DVR, ... My IR detector has no problem learning/receiving the codes from the TV output from the remote but I can't get the DVR (actually the dish network satellite box) portion of the code to be learned by the IR receiver. I would have to imagine that the IR sender on the remote is compatible with my IR receiver since it was able to learn the TV portion. Anybody have any thoughts on the remote? Anyone have any luck with this specific remote?
