I've just developed my first AutoIt script for GB-PVR.

It starts GB-PVR, maximises it using keystrokes to eliminate a white border (this may be just my problem), and watches for it to lose focus. If it does, it waits 20 seconds for the user to finish doing stuff, the returns focus to GB-PVR so that it's ready for use.

I'e done this for my machine that sits in the living room where issues such as lack of focus (symptom=not responding) and crashed software or off-screen error messages (I use a twin-display setup) are not tolerated by the rest of the household.

It may be useful to someone else, or as a starting point for another development. Or maybe it's just an amateurish waste of space...

Oops - just noticed there's still bits of debug code in there. Oh well...

What do you need to run autoit scripts? Does it get interpreted or compiled by autoit?

You need to install AutoIt. I can supply a compiled exe though - if you trust me... Smile

Updated version here.

Changes:
1. Removed debug code
2. Added check for multiple scripts running

He answered that in another thread. Antivirus programs flag autoit compiled scripts even though there is no worm. He also offered to give out the source so you can compile it yourself if need be.
