Are there different versions of the wired mvp? Which one is the "most stable"/"best chipsets"? how do u know which one comes in box?

There are several versions of the MVP, it would be best to search the forums regarding the differences. You can check the version you have when you flip your MVP and a label should read something D3,D3A, E1, etc., but basically the version of your MVP should not affect GBPVR usability. For more info on Hauppauge products, it would be good to visit the http://www.shspvr.com/
Win XP Pro SP 2
ASUS P5k-PRO Dual Core 3.0 GHZ with 4GB RAM
1 Seagate 150 GB SATA HD
1 Seagate 1TB SATA HD
1 Seagate 750 GB SATA HD
1 Hauppauge PVR500MCE
2 MVP (2 Wired / 1 Wireless via 2 Linksys WRT54G routers)
1 dead MVP (searching for replacement)

If your buying new make sure it's a revision H. You're guaranteed to get the new remote, digital output, and some interesting internal capabilities that haven't even been used yet. If you're buying used, I think there can be faults in any revision.

It is possible, I have done it twice, but I had to order the parts, do the work and take the risks involved. So unless you already have an mvp, getting a factory installed model is better which I think is the purpose of this thread.
