Tray Icon disappeared!

Hi guys. Can't really give more information than what's in the title! Came to open GBPVR via the tray icon a couple of days ago and it just wasn't there. Subsequent reboots haven't changed anything. The software works as normal, but I'd quite like my tray icon back!

In task manager, I have GBPVRRecordingservice.exe running, along with GBPVRTray.exe. If any more info is needed, please let me know.

Not sure if this is your problem but one of my 5 XP machines has a haunted taskbar.

Right click on your task bar, select properties, click the "customize" button, find the GBPVR icon and select "always show".

On my one troublesome machine these settings change themselves for some reason and I have to go back in and reset it from time to time. The "hide when inactive" setting seems to be unreliable.

I have a similar problem with some icons in my system tray. If you log off and log back on, the missing icons should re-appear. You can also check the following page for other solutions and workarounds:

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Bdgbill - it isn't a hidden icon issue, though I know what you mean about haunted taskbars, that's happened to me at various times.

Pete, thanks a lot for that link. It just occurred to me that I changed my PVR system to auto-logon a while ago, and in the link, it says missing icons occurs particularly on machines like this. Sure enough, logging off and back on makes the icon reappear I'll get rid of the auto-logon in the meantime.
