i've done some thinking about putting together an htpc to replace my panasonic dm-e20. about two weeks ago i decided that i've thought enough and just dived right in. i'm not done yet, but here is a link to my wesite that i quickly wrote up: http://users.adelphia.net/~kimnach/kimnach_htpc.html.

i hope to be of help down the road, and to gain help/insight from those who have experience with all this.

I don't think your capture card is directly supported. It is possible that you might be able to add the card if it is based on an architecture that sub already supports.

It capture card seems to have the required mpeg2 encoder, so you should be able to get it to work with GBPVR.
If it's not already supported, i'm sure sub or someone will be able to help you get the direct.ini file updated for this card.

Hopefully it will have the same filter architecture as the usb version which is supported. That would make it easy. Basically it works like this. If the card doesn't need any special initialization or control, or it is based on an architecture that sub supports, it can probably be added.
