Yeah, I read about that - clever why to get people to come. Funny thing is the tickets must have looked liked ticker tape unless the font was really small Smile

I remember my old man taking us to Llanfairpwll... when I was a kid, in a griswald's vacation kinda way. That's what passed as entertainment in the 70's... looking at a big sign*.

*For maximum thrill factor, this was doubled with standing in the rain outside "the world's smallest house" in Conwy.

And to think that kids now have to make do with PS3's and ipods....

All you needed was your old man pretend to hold the curator of the "Museum of Earwax" at gunpoint so you guys could top off your holiday on a high note.

It always was an event for us to go into town. Now I drive further every day.

A US fluid ounce is slightly bigger than an Imperial fluid ounce although not by much (UK fl. oz. = ~28.4ml, US fl. oz. = ~29.6ml). I'm not sure why the fluid ounces are different nor why there are only 16 in a US pint though.

Cheers,

Put 1 imperial teaspoon in us teaspoons into google and get
1 Imperial teaspoon = 1.20095042 US teaspoons

Our teaspoons are bigger than your teaspoons - nah nah na nah nah Big Grin

Ahh, another Abe Simpson pearl of wisdom - The Metric system is tool of the devil!

Interestingly enough, these are actual units of measurement.

a rod = 5.02 metres, and a hogshead about 230 -250 litres (depening on if it contains beer or wine)
