bbc hd trial

I thought that gbpvr would allow me to watch the bbc hd freview (dvb-t) trial but trying to view it crashes the system. Is it possible or could my set up be wrong.

There is only very minimal support for this type of video in GB-PVR, but some people have managed to get it working. From memory you need the Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder installed.

and a very powerful pc to playback the recordings...

Yes for playing back recordings. Its not required for live tv though.
