Hi,

Im not sure if this should go here , or in wishlist.
I was browsing the SageTV forums, and found a plugin being developed that allows the content of a directory to be encoded from MP2 to Avi.

I set up FFMpeg and converted a few files, and it works great, but a plugin, that did this, would be even better.

I was imagining something like being able to browse the recordings, select some, convert to Divx, move to the video library folder and keep the information that the recordings database seems to store.

I do my conversion manually at the moment, but a plugin to do this would be really useful , and I guess popular.

Cheers

Hi,

To convert a 23 minute show took just under 30 mins.

If you would like a copy (without having to build from the files off of the site) , let me know.

Cheers

Hi,

further to this, it would be possible (although Im not sure about enqueue issues) to amend the GBPVR.MDB file so that even after conversion the files could still show up in the recordings view.

Or Im wondering if it would be more worthwhile to move the files to the video directory and create .my file for them by reading the GBPVR.mdb file (Im not sure if the .my stuff works anymore).

just some thoughts anyway.

Cheers

Hi,

Im not a developer, but I have been playing.
I set up the recordings directory as a folder view in Meedio, put some artwork in each folder.
Something that is pretty good, once I have converted the recordings to DIVX, they show up in meedio and can be played over my video card out.

The normal recordings can then be deleted from GB-PVR.

Cheers

Mark
