I just installed the 1.0.8 last night.

it seems to be really slow to access/alter the Database for shows
either switching from Ready to What's new, or to pending or conflicts.

It's got about a 28 second delay before it'll pull up any information.
Same thing when trying to delete shows..

Example.
Main menu to recordings - instant
(default view is what's new)Select the Ready - 28 seconds
Select show category "Robot chicken" - instant
select top show - instant
select delete - instant
delete show - menu fades to 10% opacity and - 28 seconds.

playing a file... instant

I'm having this issue with both the old and new versions of GBPVR.

any thoughts?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I see you have <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>false</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> in config.xml. I'm guessing this delay relates to recordings that are in the database but no longer on your disk. If you set it to true, does it speed up? (ignoring the first run when it does the cleanup)
